Builder Privileges

Builders are not be granted access to the AHS Connect Care Epic build environments until they have received Clinical Content or Physician Builder Certification (Proficiency with Honors may be considered depending on the circumstance). Builder continuing access to Epic build environments will be conditional upon completing at least 20 hours of building records in 12 months since certification, attending at least 2 Builder Community events per quarter, and participation in regular Application Team meetings. This will be verified via an annual attestation.

A specific Connect Care security template is applied to Builders for their development and test environment user accounts. These limit Builders to the build activities for which they have been trained and AHS-endorsed. Access restrictions also apply to both Proof of Concept (POC) and Sandbox (SND) environments where builders can build content and test out prototypes. Builders retain their usual CIS roles in the enterprise production environment (Connect Care PRD).
